Downton Abbey will resume 2 years from where we left off: It will take place from 1916 to 1918 and the 2-hour Christmas special will be New Year�s Eve 1919. "Julian Fellowes is already storylining scripts for a third series, which will take Downton Abbey into the devil-may-care, swinging 1920s."
