The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonFor those of my generation there was no other like Johnny Carson. He had that mid-western charm and humor, his
second banana Ed McMahan, and Doc Severinson. Then he moved the show to Los Angeles, to attract more Hollywood celebrities. Then Jay Leno succeeded him, later the NBC debacle of turning over the reins to Conan and then back to Leno. Now it�s Jimmy Fallon bringing it back to the city over thirty years later. Does Fallon have the chops to pull it off? I don�t think so. Obviously he attracts a younger demographic, having cut his teeth and getting his celebrity on Saturday
Night Live, but does he have the sophistication and savvy to pull it off?
