Microsoft Surface and iPad The PC vs Mac war is back
The Microsoft Surface is 28 Days from being released and will run an ARM-Compatible version of Windows 8 called "Windows RT". On the other hand, We Have the iPad 3 (Which I actually own) which runs a specialized version of OS X called "iOS". You probably remember the pre-Android days of the Mac vs. PC war, which seems to be making a comeback with a brand new war, iPad vs Surface, Here are some key differences between the two tablet computers, The Surface is Microsofts FIRST computer (Unless the 2001 XBOX counts) While the iPad is one of the Several HUNDRED THOUSANDS of Computers Apple Has Made since 1977. Sure, the iPad has a Big Screen but the Surface has an even bigger screen. The iPad runs a Mobile version of OS X while the Surface Runs Windows RT which is a fully blown Desktop OS, Windows 8, Made for ARM.
Now lets look at some similarities, They both use touchscreens. Theyre both compatible with Bluetooth and USB Keyboards. (Use iPad Camera Connection Kit for USB keyboard on iPad) They both cant run Applications from their parent OSs for obvious reasons and Theyre both based off of their parent OSes (WinRT: Win8 iOS: OS X)
This is Sure to Start a new war very similar to the Mac vs PC war but until then, the iPad vs Android war, which I wont talk about today, will keep getting more intense every day.
