Hey Guess What

Hey Guess What

Remember my previous post about a Live USB that Would contain pre-9x versions of Windows, along with Lubuntu, FreeDOS and MS-DOS 8.00? Well, So far Ive got Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 1.00 (Premiere Edition), Windows 2.03 and MS-DOS 8 but the good news is...... I GOT SOUND WORKING!!! I used this Generic Sound Driver from PCWorld: http://www.pcworld.com/product/949201/pc-speaker-driver-for-win-3-1.html

I Used DOSBox to Install it, Didnt work in DOSBox, After installing it in DOSBox, I booted from the USB Drive containing Windows and MS-DOS 8 Physically, Launched Windows and when it finally got to the hourglass cursor, I heard system beeps and then, the moment Ive been waiting for, I heard the chimes noise but It didnt come from the Dell Speakers as they were attached to the sound card which Windows does not recognize, Instead sounds came out the dog door (PC Tower) but it still played and all the Wave files included with Windows played perfectly.

And even better, Once Ive finished my Flash Drive, Ill post a simple how to guide, Itll be easy, Even Newbies can use it.

Stay tuned!
